What is the Gospel?

by Dale Partridge

You would think this question is self-evident to the Christian. However, we must realize that experiencing the Gospel is much different than understanding it. In fact, I think many Christians are born again and spend many years trying to intellectually understand what occurred spiritually.

With so many different presentations of the Gospel message, what does the Bible say about the Gospel process? In other words, what are the mechanics of this redemptive act? How can Christians better comprehend this wonderful work and communicate it to others? In this episode of Real Christianity, Dale Partridge tackles this question in hopes to offer clarity to those seeking a deeper grasp of the Gospel.

This Episode’s Question

“Pastor Dale, I’ve been a Christian for 7 years and I am ashamed to admit that I have yet to share the Gospel with another person. I have spoken about Jesus. I have let others know that I’m a Christian but I have not proclaimed the Gospel to another person. After much thinking, I believe the reason is that I don’t really understand the basic mechanics of the Gospel. Can you share how you, in a conversation, would present the Gospel?”
