Can Christian Disobedience Prevent Salvation?

by Dale Partridge

As a Christian, can you sin to such a degree that God’s grace would be removed from your life? In other words, is it possible to emancipate yourself from God’s family? Can you lose your salvation through rebellion?

These aren’t just important questions they are common questions. Many Christians wonder if their disobedience has caused cut the cord the Gospel. But what does the Bible say about this? Is it our responsibility to keep ourselves saved or is that the work of the Savior? Ultimately, what is our responsibility as a child of God? Relearn.org founder Dale Partridge unpacks this question on this episode of Real Christianity.

This Episode’s Question

Pastor Dale, I feel like I’m drowning in temptation and while I fight back with morning devotion and worship and prayer some days I feel like I’m just going to give into sin and fail God. I want to be obedient. But I feel like I don’t have what it takes to keep God’s commandments. How can I ensure I’ll stand strong and not fall out of God’s will?”
