The Bible’s Perspective on Singleness

by Dale Partridge & Veronica Partridge

In this modern era of the church, more and more Christians are finding themselves single. Some Christians are using Paul’s words in 1 Corinthians chapter seven as reasoning to support their single status. But does Paul’s statements on singleness complement or compete with the biblical theme of marriage?

Richard Phillips once eloquently “For the majority of adult Christians, singleness is not a gift but a trial.” For that reason, in this unique episode of Real Christianity, Dale and Veronica Partridge discuss the historical-cultural context of Paul’s statement on singleness and group it together with other critical passages and doctrines regarding marriage and family.
