Overcoming Fear in Evangelism

by Dale Partridge

Have you ever allowed fear to paralyze your evangelism? Has the concern for safety, rejection, or result inhibited you from being faithful to the Great Commission?

In this episode of Real Christianity, pastor Dale Partridge discusses the two common preventions of faithful evangelism—the fear of man and disobedience. In short order, Dale calls Christians to view evangelism in light of both God’s sovereignty and His worthiness. That is, when we operate under an accurate view of God, our fear will dissipate.

This Episode’s Question

“Pastor Dale, I am an introvert by design but I’m passionate about the Gospel. That said, the current political climate and the growing hostility toward Christian values (especially here in cities like Atlanta) has made me more timid toward public ministry than ever before. I want to speak up but the intimidation and verbal attacks are very real here. How can I get past this fear and be more public about the private convictions I have radiating within me?
