Is Your Bible Translation Accurate and Reliable?

by Dale Partridge

We base our eternity, our values, our morals, and our way of life on the words of the Bible. But what if the words in your Bible aren’t the same words in the original Hebrew and Greek Scriptures? What if the translation you’re reading hasn’t been translated word for word but instead was interpreted concept for concept?

Sadly, many modern Bibles are not accurate translations of the original texts. In this episode, Dale and Veronica discuss the importance of choosing a reliable translation of the Bible.

Scriptures Referenced

  • 1 Timothy 3:16-17: “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
  • Revelation 22:18-19: “For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”
