Is It Important to Go to Church Every Sunday?

by Dale Partridge

As more Christians begin to see the church as a place to go and consume rather than a place to join and contribute, the question of purposeful and committed attendance arises. But how should we view “going to church?” What does the Bible say about this topic? In this episode, Dale and Veronica reveal the broken state of the audience-centric church and provide critical scripture references to rebuild a healthy view of God’s gathering.

Scriptures Referenced:

  • Hebrews 10:24-25: “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”
  • Ephesians 4:11-13 “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;”
