A Biblical Defense for Infant Baptism

by Dale Partridge

I recently shared my theological journey towards embracing infant baptism in an article where I discussed my evolving beliefs. This transformation unfolded slowly over the course of several years, during which I engaged in extensive study of the subject and, through God’s grace, came to understand it.

As many are aware, the topic of infant baptism can be divisive, which is why I aim to provide a fair and charitable representation of my previous theological position within the Reformed Baptist tradition. In this sermon, I will present a high-level defense of paedobaptism by examining the Covenant of Grace, illustrating how circumcision also symbolized faith, and demonstrating how baptism has replaced circumcision as the covenant sign.
